Bethany Pedraza is an Innovation Specialist, specializing in grades PK-8 at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She focuses on creating projects that enhance the educational experience to deepen and broaden student understanding of concepts across all subject areas.
Bethany established her career as a classroom teacher in the humanities, and has since taken on building innovative experiences for the last 8 years. She works closely with faculty to identify needs and designs solutions to integrate project-based learning into the already robust curriculum. She creates engaging experiences where students hone skills, concepts, and confidence in their abilities. Bethany enjoys identifying technologies that students can learn to use and implement in creative ways to make learning come alive including, but not limited to, microcontrollers, laser engravers, 3D printers, CNC machines, and power tools, etc.
At home, Bethany enjoys spending time with her three sons, exploring the world through their eyes. She also enjoys traveling and gardening.
