Jordanna holds a Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in Communication and Fine Arts and a Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM concentration. She began her career in the field of interior design, where her keen eye for detail, functionality, and aesthetics led to her passion for purposeful, authentic design. Her work in interior design strengthened her appreciation for how thoughtful design can enhance both spaces and human experiences and honed her technical skills using Adobe products and CAD software.
Transitioning into education, Jordanna successfully channeled her design knowledge into an academic setting, where she now inspires students through the detailed work of design and fabrication, innovation and design thinking, and mathematics. Her commitment to fostering creativity and problem-solving skills has led to the development of a problem and project-based learning environment where students apply innovative approaches to both practical and theoretical challenges. Her lessons are infused with hands-on learning and real-world applications, helping students understand the value of cross-disciplinary skills, critical thinking, and empathy-driven design.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Jordanna is a VEX IQ robotics coach and serves as the Math Department Chair and AI Committee Chair. She has developed a reputation for her dedication to empowering the next generation of thinkers, designers, and innovators, both students and teachers, offering support in curriculum, project design, and technology integration. In her spare time, Jordanna is an avid gardener and forever aspiring chef.
