Dr. Lisa Ockerman is the Vice President of Academics and Strategic Initiatives at Pine Crest School, which is dedicated to advancing existing and new educational programs, focusing on evaluating and shaping these programs to align with the school’s mission. With 30-plus years in education, Dr. Ockerman excels in building connections across various divisions and disciplines. In her role, Dr. Ockerman supervises curriculum alignment and oversees academic initiatives. She is instrumental in planning, developing, and implementing programs that drive the school’s strategic and educational goals. Managing a team of administrators, she ensures that hiring faculty and instructional support personnel aligns with the institution’s high standards. Her responsibilities include organizing professional development tailored to support faculty implementing innovative approaches. Examples of professional learning initiatives include Pine Crest School’s annual Innovation Institute, Teachers Teachers Teaching, Teacher Excellence Achieved Through Mentoring (TEAM), and Growing Our Aspirations in Leadership (GOAL) programs. Dr. Ockerman also oversees educational technology, collaborating with Computer Science and Technology Specialists and the School’s IT Department to develop curricular experiences for pre-kindergarten to grade 12 students. Her commitment to driving innovation complements her expertise in developing curriculum design and educational policies.
