About me
Originally from western New York, Patricia graduated with a Masters of Art Education from Nazareth College and has taught art for over a decade in K-12. Growing up with mechanics and engineers, she was surrounded at an early age with all the tools of a maker space and encouraged to tinker. As an artist she has created and illustrated in many mediums for different clients, from traditional painting and printmaking to the latest Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. In 2022, she illustrated a children’s book for foster children with author Wendy Recktenwald. As an art teacher at Pine Crest School, she developed a new Digital Art curriculum that included not only the Adobe Suite but also digital photography, animation, and 3D modeling. Now, as a teacher in the Pine Crest School maker space, she has been able to combine her passion for art with technology, designing programs that encourage teachers and students to get hands-on with experimenting and learning. Technology can be very intimidating for both students and teachers. Patricia is dedicated to developing a space that is welcoming to all levels of experience, where everyone can feel empowered to tinker, build, and become the innovators of tomorrow.
