Dr. Wendy Swanson has over 25 years of experience in education as a lifelong learner and scholar-practitioner. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University, and both a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Leadership from the American College of Education. Her doctoral dissertation explored distributed leadership roles to support STEM project-based learning opportunities for elementary students.
Throughout her career, Dr. Swanson has held various leadership roles showcasing her versatility and commitment to educational excellence. Currently in her ninth year at Pine Crest School, she began as the Lower School Assistant Head, focusing on academics and instruction. She then advanced to Associate Director of Educational Design, and now serves as the Director of Faculty Learning and Recruitment Coordinator. In this role, Wendy leverages her wealth of curriculum and instruction knowledge to work collaboratively across divisions to advance the school’s academic programs. Guided by Pine Crest School’s mission and strategic initiatives, and fueled with a passion for STEM education, Dr. Wendy Swanson supports faculty in designing and refining curricular experiences for Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 students.
